The twin alert periscopes ensure that the entire area will be monitored for police detection. Users are able to be informed sand slow down far in advance before a police officer has a chance to spot the vehicle and give a ticket. It is known to locate any laser, radar, VG2 of safety bands that may be on the road and monitoring your vehicle. The device comes with modes for the city and the highway. The different modes can be adjusted so that it is not set off by mistake. There is also a silent mode that alerts users without making any noises. It uses the many bright and colorful lights on it to notify the driver of any nearby police. This Whistler model will also go into power saving mode after three hours of no use if it is still turned on. This device also has a technology in it that makes it undetectable to police officers with a technology that is known as VG2 cloaking technology. Police use special devices that detect radars but the Whistler XTR-140 radar is invisible to them. A mount for the windshield, power cord and user’s manual come at no extra charge when the radar detector is purchased. This detector has been reported to be easy to use and small in size which makes it very convenient to have. It is sold at an affordable price that ranges from $35.00 used to $80.00 brand new.

Few complaints have been made about this device. One of the few complaints are that some of the lights on it serve as visual alerts of police radars but these lights are very difficult to see during the daytime. There have also been complaints that it does not work very well after 90 days. The range has been reported to be only about 1/4 before a police officer is seen. This has been reported to be too close to them and could cause some users to have tickets. Also, if two police vehicles are following each other, the device has been reported to only notice one of them. This has led into possible speeding tickets for users of this device.
