Vector V955 Radar Detector Review and Information

Posted January 17th, 2012 in Reviews by Brandon

Beltronics strikes again with the Vector V955 Radar Detector. They show their excellence by integrating features normally found only in the higher price models, such as VG-2 immunity so law enforcement will not know you are using it, adjustable brightness levels, digital signal processing, and a new AutoScan mode, which lessens false alarms while you are driving, and adding to your peace of mind.

Band detection alone on this model when compared to one of Beltronics top tier machines will only find 2-3 differences which goes to show Beltronics came through with a great product for a much lower cost to the average driver.

Vector V955 Radar Detector Features

If the pretty blue neon lights that Beltronics uses on their higher price models are the deciding factor for you, maybe you would be happy to pay a few hundred dollars more, but for those that agree red can be just as nice, despite not being blue, Beltronics still does not cheat the customer. The Vector V955 Radar Detector display is very good, with 260 micro-LED’s allowing for the dynamically changing interface.

The Vector V955 is light, weighing in at just 1 pound, and easily mounts to your windshield with the included quick-release windshield mount, effectively ending any worry about it sliding everywhere and falling off the dash of your vehicle.

A great product for commuters, the Vector V955 Radar Detector will warn you about multiple different road hazards, slow moving vehicles to watch for, upcoming construction to slow down for, and many more, totaling out at 60 different possibilities. Definitely, a major stress reliever if you find you are worrying on long drives to work or school.

When you leave your vehicle, the Vector V955 Radar Detector is a snap to take with you, or, if you prefer, leave it where it is without need for unplugging the unit. Beltronics included a built in feature that detects low voltage when you turn off your vehicle and turns itself off after a few minutes. No need to remember turning it back on either, the Vector V955 will turn itself on when you turn the key in the ignition.

The Vector V955 Radar Detector receives one of the highest marks for not only safety, design and features included, but also the price, which makes it possible to enjoy a very high quality device from Beltronics for everyone, even on a tight budget.

Review of Whistler XTR-335 Real Voice-Alert Radar Detector

Posted January 17th, 2012 in Reviews by Brandon

Online-Radar-Detectors.com Review of Whistler XTR-335 Real Voice-Alert Radar Detector
The Whistler XTR-335 Real Voice Alert Radar Detector is a very sophisticated piece of electronic equipment. An overwhelming number of personal reviews report how this radar detector worked flawlessly and prevented the user from getting citations from the police.

XTR-335 Best Features

One feature users like the most is the voice alert function. While this feature may be turned off and on, most users appear to find it very helpful. This feature demonstrates that radar detectors are not purchased and used to aid in breaking speed laws. When a person is busy they have a lot on their mind. That, plus passengers in the car and watching traffic can lead to the situation where the speed of the users car creeps up over the speed limit. The voice alert instantly grabs the attention of the driver and allows them to correct their speed and avoid a citation.

The Whistler XTR-335 also has a cloaking technology that enables the unit to be undetectable by radar detector detectors. No reviews were found stating this feature had failed. Depending on the area where you live and work, this is an important advantage of the XTR-335.

The construction of the XTR-335 is excellent with repeated comments how classy and expensive the finish on the case of the detector appears. The unit has 3 settings for city use and the highway settings. The alert system includes flashing blue lights that also do a good job of catching the attention of the driver.

XTR-335 Manual

A few people that are less positive reveal it is important, as you should expect with any electronic device, to read the manual and technical information that comes with the unit. This will allow maximum proper use of the XTR-335. The manual explains how and why to use the various settings. This enables the user to know what a false positive alert is and why it can happen. Reviews where the person complains they caught a citation, or they say the XTR-335 alert was too late shows that the reviewer had not read the manual and did not have the XTR-335 unit properly set for the driving conditions at that time.

The prices for the XTR-335 on Amazon are very competitive with other Radar detectors. This unit has more features, reported in positive reviews as working well, than other radar detectors costing more money. Most reviews recommended purchase of the XTR-335.
